As soon as we've approved your application, we'll arrange to deliver your accident replacement car to you at a time and place that suit you. You can keep the car for the entire duration of your repairs.

We provide vehicles to not at fault drivers who have been in a collision involving a vehicle owned or operated by another insured party. If your vehicle has been damaged by a straying animal (farm animal or pet) that has an owner and fault is acknowledged, you may be eligible for an accident replacement vehicle. Please contact us to discuss your eligibility.

Under Right2Drive’s agreement with you, the not at fault driver, you won’t be liable for the rental costs as long as you are not at fault, you assist them in the recovery of the costs from the at fault party or their insurer, and otherwise act in accordance with the terms and conditions of their agreement. If they require your assistance in recovering the rental costs, this may include you having to provide documents, witness statements, and in some cases, appearing in court as a witness in proceedings they commence in your name. You’ll still need to pay for petrol, tolls and infringements as you would in your own car.

Under Right2Drive’s agreement with you, you will not be liable for the rental costs provided you are not at fault, assist them in recovery of those costs from the at fault driver or their insurer and otherwise act in accordance with the terms and conditions of their agreement. If they require your assistance in recovering the rental costs, this may include you having to provide documents, statements, and in some rare cases, appearing in court as a witness in proceedings they bring in your name. You are responsible for vehicle use costs such as:

  • Fuel
  • Tolls (and their related administrative fees)
  • Traffic or parking infringements (and their related administrative fees).

In some circumstances, you may also be required to pay costs related to:

  • Vehicle cleaning for a vehicle returned in poor condition
  • Unacceptable wear & tear
  • Excess or damage if you damage our vehicle and do not abide by the terms and conditions of our agreement.

If the owner of the vehicle has registered the vehicle for business use, then the owner may be required to pay the GST component of the hire cost at the end of the hire period. The owner is entitled to claim back the GST on their Business Activity Statement (BAS).
