Yes, our repair network follows OEM repair procedures to ensure every vehicle is repaired back to manufacturer’s standards.
The length of time required to repair your vehicle depends on the extent of the damage to your vehicle. The assigned repairer will provide you with regular updates as they work on your vehicle.
At TAMMS, our repair network uses OEM approved parts. OEM stands for ‘original equipment manufacturer’ and means that repairs meet manufacturer’s specifications.
An insurance company is interested in keeping their costs down, which often is a consideration when they are allocating your vehicle to a repairer. TAMMS, on the other hand, will allocate hand picked, independent repairers with great reviews to undertake the repair work outside of an insurance network.
Accident Management is the centralised management of a motorist’s claim following a road traffic collision. It is an intermediary service that assists drivers in getting back on the road quickly and relieves the stress of going through the claims process alone. Costs associated with the repair, hire car and recovery process are worn by the at fault driver or their insurer.

The replacement car booking team at Right2Drive will advise the delivering branch that you have a colour preference, and they will do their best to provide it for you.
Right2Drive has an extensive fleet of vehicles available and will do their best to accommodate your needs, depending on availability of vehicles similar to your existing car.
Right2Drive is happy to assist you with a baby car seat or booster seat. Please let them know of your needs and they’ll arrange a suitable baby or child seat for you.
“Like for like” means an equivalent vehicle to your vehicle that was involved in the not at fault accident. If we don’t have something similar available, we’ll discuss alternatives with you to ensure the loan car suits your needs and lifestyle.
An accident loan car, or “accident replacement vehicle,” is a car provided to not at fault drivers involved in an accident by credit hire businesses such as Right2Drive. Accident loan cars can be used while the damaged vehicle is being repaired or settlement of total loss is confirmed. The cost of an accident loan car is recovered through the at fault party or their insurer.

In the event of malicious damage (intending to cause damage to the property, or an intention to destroy it) to one of the vehicles, you may be liable for all losses and damages caused. Please call Right2Drive on 1300 100 121 immediately to report any incidents.
Please contact Right2Drive as soon as possible to inform the team if you’ve had an accident so they can assist you. Under clause 9 of the terms and conditions of your rental agreement, your damage liability fee will be reduced to zero, provided that:
  • The accident is reported to us immediately
  • Complete accident details including description, date and time of accident, location of accident and details of all parties involved are provided within 24 hours of occurrence; and
  • The driver is fully licenced and an authorised driver (nominated on the rental agreement).
If you are unable to do so, you will be liable for the loss and damage caused.
There are several reasons why your credit card may have been charged and the list below covers the most common reasons:
  • Tolls + an administrative fee
  • Traffic or parking infringements + an administration fee
  • Additional fees if the car is not returned in the same condition that you received it in
  • Cleaning fees
  • Refuelling charges.

All vehicles are provided to our customers with a full fuel tank and, like any rental car, need to be returned with a full tank of fuel to avoid additional charges.
No, you don’t need to deep clean the vehicle, but you do need to return it in a similar condition to what it was in when you received it.
Pets are not allowed in any of the accident loan cars and will incur an additional cleaning fee. Assistance animals are an exception, so please contact the Right2Drive team on 1300 100 121 to register for this.
Smoking is NOT permitted in any of the accident loan cars and will incur an additional cleaning fee.

There’s no charge to you as the not at fault driver (subject to terms and conditions), as this cost will be recovered as part of the accident loan car claim. Please call the Right2Drive team on 1300 100 121 to add an additional driver to your replacement car.
Yes, please contact Right2Drive at responseteam@right2drive.com.au for assistance. You will need to provide the additional driver’s full name and a copy of the front and back of their driver’s licence.
If the owner of the vehicle has registered the vehicle for business use, then the owner may be required to pay the GST component of the hire cost at the end of the hire period. The owner is entitled to claim back the GST on their Business Activity Statement (BAS).
Right2Drive collects your credit card details in case they need to process charges at the end of your hire such as:
  • Fuel (if you return the vehicle with less fuel that when it was provided to you)
  • Tolls
  • Traffic or parking infringements
  • Vehicle cleaning (if the vehicle is returned dirty)
  • Unacceptable wear & tear
  • Excess or damage
  • Administrative costs.
You will need to pay for these additional items as you would in your own car. The at fault insurer will not cover the cost of these items.
Under Right2Drive’s agreement with you, you will not be liable for the rental costs provided you are not at fault, assist them in recovery of those costs from the at fault driver or their insurer and otherwise act in accordance with the terms and conditions of their agreement. If they require your assistance in recovering the rental costs, this may include you having to provide documents, statements, and in some rare cases, appearing in court as a witness in proceedings they bring in your name. You are responsible for vehicle use costs such as:
  • Fuel
  • Tolls (and their related administrative fees)
  • Traffic or parking infringements (and their related administrative fees).
In some circumstances, you may also be required to pay costs related to:
  • Vehicle cleaning for a vehicle returned in poor condition
  • Unacceptable wear & tear
  • Excess or damage if you damage our vehicle and do not abide by the terms and conditions of our agreement.

Provided you assist Right2Drive in the recovery process and otherwise act in accordance with the terms and conditions of the agreement, you will be released from liability for the rental costs or legal fees associated with the recovery.
Under Right2Drive’s agreement with you, the not at fault driver, you won’t be liable for the rental costs as long as you are not at fault, you assist them in the recovery of the costs from the at fault party or their insurer, and otherwise act in accordance with the terms and conditions of their agreement. If they require your assistance in recovering the rental costs, this may include you having to provide documents, witness statements, and in some cases, appearing in court as a witness in proceedings they commence in your name. You’ll still need to pay for petrol, tolls and infringements as you would in your own car.
Your obligations are to comply with the terms of our agreement with you and the rental agreement that you signed which includes:
  • Acting in the best interest of TAMMS and Right2Drive.
  • Not holding up the recovery of the rental costs from the at fault party.
  • Providing all documents reasonably required (for example, a copy of your physical driver’s licence).
  • Being open and honest with TAMMS and Right2Drive, and not misleading us in any way.
  • Not releasing or purporting to release the at fault party from any of your rights in respect to the accident.
  • Providing assistance in the recovery process as required, which may include providing documents, witness statements and in some circumstances, appearing in court as a witness in proceedings we bring in your name.
  • Advising Right2Drive promptly when your car repairs are complete, or you are notified of a total loss settlement.
Using our services shouldn’t impact your current policy. When the accident isn’t your fault, you’ve got rights that mean you don’t have to make a claim against your own insurance policy and the cost of the hire and repairs will be recovered from the at fault party or their insurer.
If you’re not at fault in an accident with another vehicle, it’s your legal right to be put back into the position you were in prior to the accident. This means being provided with an accident loan car while your car is being repaired, or until your total loss settlement is confirmed. It also means having your car repaired to the condition it was in prior to the accident.

Yes, Right2Drive can arrange to deliver and collect the vehicle at a time and location that are convenient to you, including your home, office or the panel shop where your vehicle is being repaired.
It takes between 24-48 hours to assess an application depending on liability confirmation from the at fault party’s insurer.
Yes, you can lodge an application with us now and upon approval, Right2Drive can book you in for your desired future date.
We require the following information from you:
  • Your details, including your driver’s licence number, car registration and insurance information
  • Copy of your physical driver’s licence
  • The at fault driver’s details, including their car registration and insurance information
  • Details about the car accident
  • Witness details (if applicable).

Yes, if you’re not at fault in an accident with another vehicle, the business has a legal right to be put back into the position it was prior to the accident. This means that the business may be legally entitled to an accident loan car whilst the car is being repaired, or until it is deemed a total loss. Some of the reasons you will not be eligible include:
  • you don’t have the at fault driver’s details
  • you advise us upfront that the at fault driver is not insured
  • you are the at fault party
  • the at fault driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • the accident happened due to a medical episode
  • the accident happened due to the flashing lights from an ambulance or police vehicle
  • a secondary vehicle was not involved.

Drivers are required to hold a current and valid learner, provisional, or full driver’s licence. Please note: Learner or Provisional licence holders are subject to our prior approval. You will also be required to satisfy criteria in respect to insurance, driving record and physical & mental capacity, as detailed in the agreement. Fill out an application here.

Unfortunately, if you’re aware the at fault driver does not have insurance, in this instance, we won’t be able to help you with an accident replacement vehicle or not at fault repairs. Please get in touch with your own insurer for assistance. In some circumstances, we will pursue the at fault driver who is liable for damages. If the at fault driver is not insured, our team will discuss this with you and assist you through the process. However, it may limit the extent of the support we are able to provide.

It is important in any accident to ensure you get the details of the other driver, regardless of fault, including car registration and insurance information. Unfortunately, without these details we are unable to assist, as the cost of the accident loan car and repairs is recovered through the at fault party or their insurer.
TAMMS can assist drivers who are not at fault in an accident. If you were at fault, we suggest that you speak with your insurance provider if you have a hire car inclusion in your policy. Our accident replacement vehicles are only available for eligible drivers who are not at fault in an accident with an insured at fault driver. Unfortunately, we can’t assist in this scenario.

We offer accident loan cars to eligible drivers who have been involved in a car accident that wasn’t their fault. We suggest you talk to a hire car company.
TAMMS can only assist not at fault drivers who have been in an accident with an insured at fault driver. If your car was stolen and you have insurance, we recommend contacting your insurance provider.
We provide vehicles to not at fault drivers who have been in a collision involving a vehicle owned or operated by another insured party. If your vehicle has been damaged by a straying animal (farm animal or pet) that has an owner and fault is acknowledged, you may be eligible for an accident replacement vehicle. Please contact us to discuss your eligibility.

If the at fault party disputes liability, we can’t provide you with an accident loan car or commence repairs until liability is confirmed. However, we will contact the at fault driver’s insurer and confirm if there is a dispute in liability.

As you have an interest in the vehicle that was damaged, you are the party who has suffered a compensable loss. Similarly, even if the at fault driver has insurance, and indemnity has been confirmed, the at fault driver is listed as a party in the proceedings.
