Frequently Asked Questions
No, under our agreement with you, you will not be liable for the rental or repair related costs, as long as you are not at fault, you assist us in the recovery of the costs from the at fault party or their insurer, and otherwise act in accordance with the terms and conditions of our agreement. You’ll still need to pay for petrol, tolls and any traffic or parking infringements as you would in your own car. For business customers, there is also a GST element payable that is tax deductible, so if your car is registered for business purposes, please ask us for more information.
Yes, we can! As the not at fault driver, you’re not required to make an insurance claim. If you meet our eligibility criteria, we can help you with a like for like replacement car, deliver it to your home or work and arrange repairs to your damaged vehicle. Call our team on 1300 951 221.
If you choose to have your car repaired through TAMMS, we can provide you with options from our own repair centres or our trusted network of partner repairers.
We determine the extent of the damage to your vehicle through independent repair assessment before commencing repairs on your vehicle. We work in your best interests and are not affiliated to any insurance companies.
If the accident was 100% your fault, contact TAMMS and we will take you through how to lodge a claim and to arrange your repair to be allocated to our repair centres.
Using our services shouldn’t impact your current policy. When the accident isn’t your fault, you’ve got rights that mean you don’t have to make a claim against your own insurance policy and the cost of the hire will be recovered from the at fault party or their insurer.
